Long-grain white rice

A variety of long-grain white rice, of Greek origin, from crops grown mainly in the regions of Thessaloniki, Kavala, and Aetolia-Acarnania. During cooking, the grains perform in such a way as to make this rice ideal for steamed rice recipes, braised pilaf, as well as cold or warm salad dishes.
